From 1st January 2014 ICANN requires that the registrant details for all domain names is validated by the owner within 7 days of the following events:

New Domain Registration
Registrant information displayed in WHOIS is updated (including transferring to a new owner)
Domain's renewal notice bounces


Any of the events above will trigger an email to be sent to the registrant email address as follows:

From: SBH Domains <names@sbhdomains.com>
Subject: IMMEDIATE VERIFICATION required for customerdomain.com

The email will look like this:

IMPORTANT: Before clicking on the link, check that the link in the email contains 'name-services.com' in the URL to verify it is a legitimate email and not a phishing attempt.


You have 7 days to verify the details are correct by clicking on the link contained in the email.

You will not be asked to provide any additional information; just click on the link in the email.



Once you click on the link, you'll be shown a page similar to the following, at which point you don't need to do anything else:

ICANN Registrant Confirmed
