The below article will take you through the process of flushing the DNS on your Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 computer.
Why do I need to flush my DNS? If you have recently moved your website over to us from another host then there is a chance that the old server information will be cached on your computer. This means that you will not be seeing the most up to date version of your website when you go to view it. Browsers generally cache information in order to give you quicker loading speeds when you next visit a website.
Step 1) Open up the start menu by clicking the Start Icon in the bottom left hand corner of your screen.
Step 2) Type in the letters 'CMD' and you will see an option to launch the Command Prompt. Once 'CMD' has been typed in either click on Command Prompt or press enter.
Step 3) Type in ipconfig /flushdns and then press enter.
The above will now flush your DNS cache on your local computer. We also recommend that you restart the computer after running a DNS flush to ensure that it has been totally cleaned.
